Too many title sequences from movies and shows of the early 1980s are lessened by the typographic limitations of the production tools then available. The iconic opening sequence for Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs is a case in point: awesome footage, lame typography. One of my first experiments with After Effects was an attempt to improve upon the sequence without changing its basic feel. The palette references the names of the characters in the movie.
