I developed this prototype movie poster as a self-initiated project in a typography class at NC State. The Nevermore Horror, Gothic, and Fantasy Film Festival takes place each year at the Carolina Theatre in Durham, NC. I employed imagery from Dario Argento's Tenebre and Takashi Miike's Audition to create a soft, rich surface that belies the creepiness of the subject matter. It's printed on both sides at the traditional movie poster scale of 27X40". Some of the images here document my process, which involved more than five full iterations.
