YUXTAPONGO collaborated on this one-night only dance party and celebration of the music of Ghanaian highlife singer Ata Kak in 2010. We painted the walls of a gallery with projections of dancers against lush hues, and integrated the space with a shrine to the singer and disco effects. Open to the community, the experience engaged a diverse demographic in an infectious party.
