Heads on Sticks

 

Heads on Sticks is the solo recording project of Birds of Avalon's David Mueller. When he decided to form a live ensemble to perform these songs, he called me and I was much obliged. The live band is a four-person group that includes Will Evans (Shards, Whatever Brains), Bernard Hanlon, and a drum machine. In addition to performing, I've designed things like the album cover here, for last year's Mocking Bird. There's a new EP due out this fall, with a new full-length soon to follow on the Grip Tapes label. We will be performing at the Hopscotch Music Festival in September, 2011.
