A "party in a box" used to activate various sites, HIGHLIFE was a community dance project-cum-video installation project. Inspired by the “dance line” style of dancing, in which people take turns dancing as a crowd cheers, HIGHLIFE incorporated a virtual Soul Train-type chorus. Energy emanated from the analog sound of an obscure African cassette by Ghanaian Highlife singer Ata Kak, and from the community dance line display.
